Sligo Jazz Project

Sligo Jazz Project's International Jazz Summer School is a school of jazz and improvised music giving advanced tuition to pro, semi-pro and enthusiastic amateur musicians from Sligo and elsewhere. The project is an annual event. The 2007 event was the biggest event of its kind ever held in Ireland. 2010 sees an emphasis on world class educators over "big name" stars, whilst still securing the services of world leaders in performance such as John Goldsby, Michael Manring and Bill Carrothers. The associated festival is renowned for its superb concerts and nightly jam sessions where students and tutors alike perform to the delight of festival audiences
