Daniel Jacobson studied jazz at Newpark Music Centre, graduating in 2002. Since then he has played with, and composed for, many of the most innovative groups on the Dublin scene, including Fuzzy Logic, The Kai Big Band and Oldsquarelines (formerly Orpheus). In 2006 he completed a Masters in Music and Media Technologies at Trinity College Dublin, specialising in composition. He has recently founded a 10-piece electronic/acoustic jazz group, The ZoiD Ensemble, and performs solo guitar/electronic sets as ZoiD. He was a successful applicant for the 2006 Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne which takes place in September.
